Before committing to the writing and editing world, Anna Katz earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California at Santa Cruz, a master’s degree in existential phenomenological therapeutic psychology from Seattle University, and a certification in Integrated Movement Therapy from the Samarya Center. She put her education to use in the world of mental health and social services, then went on to earn certificates in editing and writing from the University of Washington.
Anna spent five years as an in-house writer and editor at editorial firm Girl Friday Productions. As a freelancer, she works on a wide variety of projects, from white papers to magazine articles, business books to memoirs, marketing copy to blog posts, children’s books to journals, novels to short stories.
Anna's work in social services pairs perfectly with her work in writing and editing—both vocations have allowed her to help people clarify their thinking and express themselves effectively. She lives with her partner and dogs in Seattle.
